39 week check up

My check up went well today and my Dr said she would be shocked if she didn't see me in the hospital this weekend.
I have had an eventful day. My mom and I went to Target after the Dr's appt to walk...and shop just a little then we went out to an early lunch with several of my new girlfriends. I was being stopped in my tracks with contractions off and on the entire time. Then my mom treated me to a pedicure and foot massage. (I got baby blue French with blue flowers...I love it.) I clued the girl in on the areas to massage to increase my contractions and began having contractions every 15 mins for two hours...and they hurt.
We went to get Haven from school who was really disappointed that I was waiting in car with Heston still in my belly. We stopped by Sonic for a nice cold drink and went home to walk in the 93 degree weather. I didn't care how hot is was because I was determined at that point to have a baby today. After our walk I timed contractions every 10 to 12 mins for an hour followed by contractions every 8 mins for about 45 mins. Some of those were making me think, "I don't want to have too many more of those without something for pain." I am not going to even try to be "She Woman" this time like I did with Haven. I'll be calling out for an epidural the minute I walk through the OB doors.
You probably guessed it, those contractions stopped so we went on another walk. Now I am tired of walking and having sporadic contractions that hurt enough in my back and down my legs (not just in my belly anymore) to use some breathing and announce a couple of times, "That freaking hurts!" when they are over. (My mom hates that word too...she seemed to understand though?"
So now I am not as much determined as I am discouraged. I know it will all happen in God's timing but not today. I plan on walking a lot tomorrow and HOPEFULLY have a baby!

You are too funny! When we were waiting for Shilo to come I drove my jeep wrangler over every crack, pothole and groove in the road I could find! God's plan may be for you to wait another week in honor of a quad birthday celebration! Much love, I miss you terribly! Hugs, kisses and prayers to all of you! xoxo Cheri

Cute toes!!! Praying your labor is swift and soon! I am debating myself on being she woman or going for the best drugs modern medicine has to offer. I'm trying to combine the best of both worlds. We'll see what happens. Keep me posted!
