Meet our new pet Madison, the turtle.

Haven found a turtle to love and nurture. It was love at first site. Haven keeps her turtle, Madison in a crate in the garage in front of a box fan because it is hot. She feeds it and waters it several times a day and even made a leash out of some yarn to take it on walks around the yard. Today I checked on the turtle to see if it was being loved to death and found a book about animals opened up in the crate with the turtle. I asked Haven what the book was for and she said that Madison likes to cuddle with the animals when she sleeps, and that she wants Madison to learn about other animals so when she dies and goes to Heaven she will know all of her friends. (I think this idea comes from the fact that every pet she has ever had ends up going to Heaven while in her care.)
